William Fields (b.1977) is an artist, musician, and composer whose work explores audio-visual correspondence in the context of real-time improvisatory live performance.
Frustrated by the limitations and sloppiness of loop- and FFT-based visuals, William's work uses an event and envelope-based approach that allows for extremely tight audio-visual correlation, where every musical event is represented by a corresponding visual object, creating a sense of synesthesia in the listener/viewer.
